i am 26 years and trying to conceive for 4 months.last month my periods started late with initially pink and brown spot and then brown bischarge for remaining five days.i went to dr and he suggested for ultrasound and blood test but every thing was ok and there was no pregnancy also. my period cycle is about 37 days but next month my period started almost 12 days before the due date and initially with spotting and then turned to red light bleeding that last fo almost 5 days.i am confused and want to know the reason. and whether i should continue to try to conceive or not.
Most women, usually have a regular menstrual cycle of 28 -34 days.
The most common causes of irregular cycles are Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and Dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Since the ultrasound, has ruled out PCOS, the most likely cause of your irregular periods can be due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is the result of abnormal gonadotrophin secretion by the pituitary gland. This results in anovulatory cycles where there is no ovulation and hence this may result in lack of conception and pregnancy.
You might consult with a gynecologist for a examination and ovulation studies, to rule out DUB and initiate proper therapy as needed. With proper treatment, you will be able to have normal ovulatory cycles and soon you can concieve normally.
Thanku Dr for replying my previous question. actuall i want to ask one more thing,as i write u before that last two months my periods were not normal as in december it was on due date but it was just spotting and brown discharge and next time in january they started almost 12 days before due date but that time it was light bleeding. but now in february my due date as compared with january was 2nd february.but today is 10 and still i dont have my periods. i want to know that is it possible to be pregnant as my periods have become irregular? and i am not feeling any other symptom except just for two days i felt dizziness while standing.plz tell me when i should take home pregnancy test? thanks in advance
