I just found out four days ago that I have mono, but I've had the symptoms for two weeks. Almost all of my syptoms are gone, but how will I know when I'm not contagious anymore? I have a boyfriend and I really don't want to give it to him. So if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks
I'd wait at least another month. Should be okay though, losts of people already have the virus in their system already, actually 95% of people have it in their system by the time they are 40. Not much you can do avoid this. But people are most contagious in the first 2 months they have mono. Experts aren't exactly sure how long someone with mono is contagious, some say up to a year, even after you've recovered, you can still pass the virus along.
