Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

If your periods are delayed and you are trying to conceive, immediately take a home pregnancy test and a blood pregnancy test to confirm or rule out pregnancy.

Spotting can occur in pregnancy and can be a normal finding. It can also be the start of a threatened abortion or an infection.

Since you have only one ovary and you want to have a baby, please consult a gynecologist and follow her advice through out pregnancy if there is one.
If the tests are negative, please consult an infertility specialist for a further course of action.
