Most of my life I've had constipation issues off and on, mainly having to use a lot of effort to get things moving, which usually leaves me with a headache afterward.

Lately I think I hurt my rectal muscles while straining, so I decided to try some fiber to see if I can get things moving without much strain. I took some Benefiber mix, but having to drink the stuff was starting to get tedious and I really didn't care to mix it in my food, it also didn't seem to help much, perhaps I wasn't using enough of it.

Anyway, my friend gave me some Atkins Fiber Drops that he never used and the stuff seemed to work like magic, my stool flowed as if lubricated. However, it seems that my friend in his generousity didn't realize that the stuff has been dicontinued and I can't find anywhere the has it in stock. So now I have to find something new to take.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try on a regular basis? Changing my diet really isn't an option right now, so I'd prefer a suppliment or something. Preferably not a powder unless it is the best option. Basically what I want is something to make my stool come out smoother, less strain.

Any suggestions would be appeciated, thanks!
