I've had four upper respiratory tract infections this year, one for which I was hospitalized and several that caused more infections, like laryngitis.
I've had the chicken pox on three separate occasions and have been told by my doctor that I could probably get it again.
I was vaccinated for whooping cough, but got it regardless.
I catch every cold that goes around and even though I always get a flu shot, I always end up with the flu.
I also have asthma, nasty seasonal allergies, and I'm a little bit iron deficient. I'm 15, if that's relevant.
Is this something I should be overly concerned about, or am I just stressing myself out too much over something that isn't a problem?

Extremely eHealthy
Has your immune function been tested? It is very rare for a person to get chickenpox more than once. You also seem to be getting sick a lot more than you should. Get a referral from your doctor to see an immune specialist. I think there may be something going on.

PowerOfZrii: Thanks for the info. It already IS required for children to be vaccinated to attend school here, I believe. And I would be interested in knowing about this supplement.
MyrahU: My immune function has never been tested; I shall see what I can do about that. My doctor has never seemed overly concerned, but I'm sure if I bother him enough he'll refer me to someone. The trouble is that where I live it may take months to see a specialist. Public Healtcare systems and doctor shortages don't mix well, I suppose. Wink

The immune system is an amazingly intricate and complex system that keeps us healthy and protects us against all sorts of viruses, bacteria, microbes, parasites, and toxins. Like with many things, we often don’t think about our immune system until something goes wrong with it. The immune system is an immensely complicated and intricate system, and like all systems in the body, it needs to be in top condition to perform optimally. Therefore, taking extra care in strengthening the immune system can help prevent many problems related to a weak system, such as many common immune disorders. There are a number of immune disorders which can be divided up into four main categories:

* Autoimmune disorders
* Immunodeficiency disorders
* Allergic disorders
* Cancers of the immune system

Natural remedies have been used for thousands of years to help promote the peak functioning of the immune system so that the body will be working at its best ability to ward off disease and infection. Having some safe and natural at home remedies at your disposal can be invaluable.
