Q: Constant Stomach Pain

For over a year now, I have had constant stomach pains in my lower abdomin and upper stomach area, which moves to pains in the further up to my rib cage. Sometime the pain is sharp in my stomach ie, stabbing pains, then sometimes dull. baffle Wake up at night with these on occasions and have to go to the toilet constantly to pass urine. Am very bloated, is frustrating, as am a size 8 to ten in clothes but feel uncomfortable as my stomach swells and concious of this.

I have seen my doctors, who states she wants to do a blood test to see if I have some sort of food intolerance. Am very healthy, go to ballet, tap classes and the gym. Am constantly tired though

I do worry quite a bit about silly things, and have heard that this could cause stomach ulcers. Not sure what I have. Please would you kindly be able to advise me.

Also prone to a lot of viral throat infections, unsure if this has a link?

Abdominal bloating is very characteristic symptom of irritable bowel syndrome.
If this symptom, along with lower abdominal pain, urinary symptoms, excessive tiredness, is accompanied by changed frequency and form of stool, than the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome is very possible.
Stress, anxiety can trigger symptoms of IBS.
Actually, stress and IBS tend to co-exist in same patient.
Viral sore throat is very frequent disease, because they can't be prevented (these viruses are commonly found in the environment)
Also, stress lowers the immune system leading to greater chances to get common infections.
Stomach pains that may awake you during sleep can be indicative for duodenal peptic ulcer.

Talk with a gastroenterologist!
