I'm 20 years old, female seem to be in good health. Have been to Dr. in the past about chest pains and rapid heart but he didn't seem concerned (echocardiogram and ekg normal). I know my stress and anxiety levels are high, but I don't seem to be able to snap out of it. My mind may seem calm at times, but for certain my heart isn't. Lately my heart rate is generally over 100 bpm, on average between 100 and 120, sometimes gets as high as 144. A good 90% of the time I am aware of the beating, often pounding of my heart. I get palpitations frequently, almost every day--the sort that feels like a great, sudden THUD and the fluttering, irregular flip-flops.
...how can this be normal? Is it possible that there actually is nothing wrong and that I should not be concerned? Even when I am calm I sometimes get sudden, unexpected, fluttering palpitations. Is there anyone else out there experiencing this with Drs saying nothing is wrong?? This is frustrating beyond words.
