I have had right side flank pain getting progressively worse for over 7 years. It especially flairs up after drinking alcohol. I have had CBC, urine, and x-ray, all normal. What is causing this? And why is it getting worse?

I see others have flank pain as well. Has anyone had a diagnosis that wasn't kidney related? I don't have kidney problems according to my Dr. What else could it be? It really hurts if I bend my side and I have lower back pain that accompanies the flank pain. I truly believe it is alcohol related, but I have not been able to give up my nightly glasses of wine. Does any one know if it could be alcohol related? I really need help with this. I am concerned that it is something more serious, but my Dr. is tired of my complaint.
