Hi there,

I've recently become sexually active again. A little about myself, I'm in my mid 20s, in good health and shape (6 feet, 175 lbs) though could use more gym sessions to build stamina.

(1) I can't seem to hold an erection for too long, let alone ejaculate during sex, and am trying to figure out why and how to solve my dilemma. I've never had this problem in the past. For starters, I feel condoms (at least the ones I use) really lose all feeling i would otherwise have (It has been analogized to "showering with a raincoat on"). Any suggestions on different condoms? Also, any ways to stimulate the penis itself so it is more sensitive? I've tried cutting off all masturbation before sex but no difference thus far. Any particular foods/drinks/ointments that may help?

(2) I'm also on Avodart/Propecia for my hair (it's an anti-hair loss medication that is said to eventually lower a man's libido by age 30). I honestly haven't felt a decline in my sex drive, but am not sure if it has no part in this dilemma of mine. Anyone else been on Avodart/Propecia? If I decide to stop taking it (I still have plenty of hair), would that help immediately? Does it take time/extra effort to 'recover'?

(3) The last question I wanted to ask was the safety/efficacy of taking Viagra at my age. I'd like to at least try it once during a sex session to see if it may be of any benefit. I'm not sure if I qualify as suffering from ED, but I figure it doesn't hurt to try if it's permissible. Thanks in advance.

A red flag went up as soon as you mentioned Propecia. Listen to me carefully my friend, quit taking Propecia right now because it will kill your sex life. a few years ago when i was 24 I took that propecia to help with my receeding hair line. About a week afterward I noticed my !**@! was softer than normal but figured it would go away as soon as I quit taking the drug, It didn't.

it has gotten a lot worse. I sometimes have a difficult time gettng an erection and keeping it but there are others who, after taking this drug, can't get it up at all!

There is much I can say about this but the bottom line is you need to stop taking this drug and understand its extremely dangerous.

on the back it said 0.6% of men will suffer sexually from taking it. It is actually more like 60%, I'm not joking. after it nearly ruined my sex life I went to do some research on the net and found a site (which wasn't around at the time I began using it) where people like me meet and discuss solutions. make no mistake, Propecia is poison. FDA approved doesn't mean anything nowadays. reply back and let me know you've decided to stop taking it or ,at the very least, will promise to do some objective research
