When my boyfriend and I first started having sex I wasn't on any form of birth control so we always used condoms...but...I am extremely paranoid about getting pregnant and would always worry every single month..not to mention my periods were VERY irregular...counted one month after mentioning it to my mom and 28 days later(a normal cycle) I still didn't have my period, and yes my boyfriend and I had had sex, so as you can imagine I was flipping out...well ten days later I got my period and decided that was the last straw..I was sick of having that much anxiety...ANYWAY..went on birth control and have been on it for about a year..my boyfriend and I have not been using condoms since then since i'm on birth control..I have suggested using them so it would ease my mind even more but he says he hates the condoms and really cant feel much of anything(I'm only his 2nd partner and his gf before that and him ALWAYS used a condom) is it true that a guy cant feel much of anything or has he just gotten too spoiled with using nothing....also I'm thinking that since we aren't using the condoms anymore maybe a spermacide would help ease my mind more? I'm just afraid of getting a uti or irritation

Is to protect yourself. We live in the real world of STD's, HPV, HIV/AIDS and that is just reality.

If I had been smart enough to demand that my former BF use a condom, I wouldn't be where I am today. HPV with the high risk types and now left with a very ugly scar from having a genital wart removed.

Your BF isn't the one in the cat bird seat here. He is lucky to be with you and you have to set down the rules. You are right in saying he is probably spoiled going it the natural route but that is too bad. Using a condom can prevent a lot of heartache down the road. I know, I have and will continue to travel it.

Take care of yourself, first and foremost. It is a lot more than worrying about becoming pregnant. Believe me. That is just one issue.

Take care of yourself.

If you're not comfortable with just your birthcontrol then use a condom. You can try different types of condoms with him and see if you can find something he might like a little better than what you normally use. You may just need to find a thinner condom.

Another thing to trick is to put a few DROPS of lubricant inside the condom before putting it on to increase feeling.
