Q: Conception and hormonal imbalance
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 19th, 2008
I normally have my period every 29 or 30 days and it normally lasts 5 to 7 days long. THis time it came 38 days inbetween, lots of cramps and only lasted 2.5 days. Is there something wrong with me? I am counting and my husband and I are trying to concieve starting June and this threw me.

Menstruation Answer A3987
You probably had a cycle irregularity due to a hormonal imbalance. Bleeding that lasted 2.5 days probably wasn’t a real period but functional bleeding. You may want to continue having sex (every day if possible) if you want to conceive. If you don’t conceive by June, you may want to ask for medical attention.
