I have stopped taking my contraceptive pill 3 weeks ago, as my boyfriend and i have decided we would like to start a family. I have not yet had a period, is this normal.? How many cycles should I have before we try to conceive?
I was taking the mini pill and therefore have not had a period since October.

Lack of ovulation and regular cycles are expected side effects after discontinuing birth control pills. You can start trying to conceive right now but you should know that the body usually needs a few months to establish its full fertilization ability.
