I became very ill immediately after inserting the tablets vaginally last May 2007. I had a horrrible infection that was accompanied by extreme lethargy, huge blood clots and odor so rancid that it literally made me ill. I sought help from Dr. after Dr. who simply claimed it was normal and gave me antibiotics repeatedly. I still suffer from pain in my left tube and my entire left hip and leg. I am still not well and do not know what to do to get someone to understand that this is not normal it has turned my life upside down I have other children to care for and a normal life to resume and am finding it very difficult to do so with the continual health problems. I think I may have had a tubal pregnancy and I cant get any verification the clinic has "lost" half of my file there is no mention of my even having an infection however I saved all medication pouches and literature I received I just need resolution and my health back is there any way that my tube can be checked without surgery because I feel that is the only reason why it has not been done. I have no objections to any surgery I want my life back please.

You can have an ultrasound to look at your tube.

You should go to a private doctor, not the clinic.

I work in abortion, and I would say it is unlikely that it would be a tubal pregnancy.

A tubal pregnancy would not have acted in that way..

It is most likely a massive infection from inserting the pills vaginally. Please get checked out by an OBGYN who is not the abortion clinic.

Carifairy - Thank you
I have been to Dr.'s outside of the clinic, Kaiser to be exact and the furthest they've looked is my uterus, I can't seem to get anyone to look beyond my uterus which is perfectly fine. The material that would exit my body every month about 1 week prior to my period the rancid odor would begin then the masses of grossness enough to make me literally breakdown crying and vomit it is that disgusting then would continue throughout my cycle and remain about a week post so I would have roughly 4 to 7 good days a month. Because I have no fever and no other typical signs of infection the only reason they even found out was because of some blood work I had done in the E.R. This infection has remained solely on my left side and initially was not painful whatsoever but has in the most recent months become quite painful especially just before my periods. I'm just so tired and I just can't seem to get anyone to believe that all of this is directly related I have even kept dated samples of the stuff that comes out of me and each time they are simply thrown into the garbage without any testing or anything. Now I have Medi-Cal insurance so I'm not expecting much better care frankly since I've lost my job due to all the Dr. visits and now counseling appointments this has completely ruined my life something that was to have been so simple has been a complete nightmare! I just want my body to return to normal that's all whatever that entails I dont care I am so very willing. Thank you for your input I do truly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, medical abortion can lead to infections.

Surgical abortion is better because the doctor cleans the area and sterilizes the vagina before surgery, so less infection risk.

ONE thing I can think of, and the woman was similar to you... She had undiagnosed Chlamydia, an STD...

It caused a massive infection inside if her, which is does do from time to time.

Because you had lots of antibiotics it would not be there most likely.... Could that be possible? An std or other bacterial infection?
