Q: Complications after appendix surgery

I have had my appendix removed early July 09, they had burst but since then I have had nothing but problems and the wound has still not heald over. Also my bowel & gut had leaked into my wound two days after surgery I was not informed until 10 days later this had happened. I have been informed that both of these are normal, is this correct as I just feel I'm being fobed off???
