Complications after a Hysterectomy? I need some answers Please!

I am 4 1/2 months post-op, from a total hysterectomy with removal of cervix and all. But recently I have been having some pelvic, vaginal and bladder pains, as well as pain during urination. The pain seems to get worse as the days go by at this point, I went and seen my family doctor thinking maybe a part of it may be a bad bladder infection, so he tested my urine, and it did come back with high levels of blood and protein in it, but with no signs if infection, but put me on cipro for a week just to be on the safe side but he assured me that they would send it off for futher testing since he said that it was not common for protein especially to be in the urine, but I have noticed no difference with the pain during urination ceasing at all, like the medicine didnt help, , but all the same I am still experiencing vaginal pain, along with not a burning sensation while urinating but pain in my bladder in general, as well as pelvic pain, like I am having pretty bad period cramps. I have had to cease all sexual intercourse period due to it being very painful.

croach1012,

You should return and see the surgeon who did your surgery. You could have problems with your kidneys (protein spilling in your urine). You could also have an indolent post-op infection. By this time, you could also be developing adhesions within the pelvis.

Again, speak with the surgeon who did your surgery.

Good luck.
