Q: Complete removal of placenta

Hello doctor...!!!

This is my personal email 2 any health website.I m 30yrs old.
What i want to know is,this was my first preg and i had my miscarriage on april 15,2009 and had my bleeding for 7days nearly with large amount of clots.After that i was normal didnt had any pain.Now again after 15days i m bleeding again,it is not too heavy but bleeding from past 3days.it is same as during my miscarriage bleeding.I didnt had D and C,what i m wondering is,is this is my period or the left over of my miscarriage.does anyone bleed after 15days of mc?Is it necessary for me 2 get D and C now.plz reply me soon,if u can.I m really worried.

It is possible that the bleeding you described might be a sign of a serious condition.

It is likely that part of the placenta might have been left accidentally and needs to be removed. Visiting your gynecologist for revision of the uterine cavity as soon as possible in order to avoid further complications is highly recommended.
