Q: Comments about Denver, CO

Anyone live in Denver, CO? Or anyone been there before?
We are seriously thinking of relocating. And Denver sounds like a good place to start. Mostly because we have friends out there and their laws are better than AZ laws. But I don’t know much else about Denver. So I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts. Thanks!

so so far Denver looks very nice. The gun laws are the same here and marijuana has been decriminilized.

All the historic places, it all seems very appealing. I just have to look for possible jobs now...hopefully the economy isnt too bad

Its beautiful!
YEAH for the GUN LAWS!!!!!!! It will be wonderful cause your kids will actually see snow in the winter! Its about like hte same hot as Arizona, but, as you sad, there is so much history and things ot see and do. GOo online to the Chamber of Commerce and get all kinds of info about Denver. YOu can find out about restaurants, shopping places, places of interest, places to live, the job market etc! Adam is gorgeous!

I found the people to be very friendly and helpful when I was there.. I have been to Denver a few times over the years. I am in Georgia, where SOUTHER HOSPITALITY RULZ! I'd say, you treat people like you want to be treated...if they are rude, the hell with them you don't need them in your life! I'd say yes to common courtesy in Denver...now I would not for Vegas or New York. I think it all boils down to how you present yourself to someone....either you'll like em or you wont. I like to keep positive people in my life.....now even here in Georgia, there are some rude rude ass folks....but I know how to put them in their place! Like I said above, go to Chamber of Commerce for Denver Colorado and get all the info you need! HUGS!

awesome

did you have jobs already when you moved to Georgia? Or did you just go? We are trying to figure out the best way to do this. We have no savings…and basically live paycheck to paycheck…which takes care of us plenty.

We have friends that have huge house and are willing to put us up for awhile until we can get on our feet. Daniel wants to just go…I want to have at least a job…just cause Im scared and don’t really trust anyone…I mean these are our really good friends and im sure will be true to their word…but I also know that people are people and sometimes all you have is yourself! So what did you do the times you relocated?

I've never actaully relocated, but have traveled to many places....across country and out of country. Is there anyway you can access Craigslist for Denver on your computer and look for obs that are boing offered? Also I
d suggest looking online at a Denver newspaper to see what if any obs are available. i know here, jobs are far and few....the economy is BAD. What kinds of work so you and Daniel do? Who would keep Adam? If you want me to be blunt and honest and talk to you liek I would tell my own daughter: Keep the jobs you both have now, pay what bills you owe, but with each paycheck, start putting back as much $ as you can. Start a savings account or hide hte money in a freezewr tupperware marked Turnip Greens....a thief would not steel this! This would give you an edge and you'd at least have some money in your pockets if things did not go as planned. I'd also suggest, have a yard sale or sell things you can do without or replace easily, things you no longer need, use or outgrown (Adam). If you just up and move, would you have alot of stuff to take? You could list things free on Craigslist where you are. Do oyu really know these friends? i mean will they be patient ad give you time ot get a job, get on your feet before they kick you out? If oyu ahd money saved up, you could at least come back home! I would be a basket case if I had to up and move.....

yeah I will not up and move...i was upfront with daniel and said he would have to wait until we had things figured out...I cant just do that. and he seems in no hurry to help with the house, job, and school hunting. So oh well. Im not in a big hurry either then. I wont do this alone. So its in the air. I know it will happen..i just wont kill myself to make it happen. I know I deserve some help with relocating...im so proud of myself! I never used to stick up for things...i always kept my mouth shut to avoid conflict then i would blow up when it got to tough

not this time baby! hes a little surprised by my assertivness though. he listens to me more this way though...who knowss...lol
