Q: Coming off the pill

Hi
I have been on Alesse for 2 years.
I used to go to a family planning clinic, but now that I am 21 I have been referred to a women's clinic. They are not as confidential and I do not want my family to know. (I know this sounds ridiculous but I have not had this type of converstaion with my Mom)

Are there any side effects of coming off the birth control pills?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Your side effects really could vary, but your cycle probably won't be back to normal for a while. You may miss a few periods or have breakthrough bleeding here and there. It should not take more than 3 months at tops for your cycle to get back to normal.
