About 2 months ago, I went off of my Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo. I lost my insurance and can't afford it right now. Even when I was on BC I used a condom every single time. Last month was the first month off of BC and I got my period on time and it was normal. This month, I still haven't gotten it. I use protection EVERY time and make sure we check to make sure nothing went wrong as I am paranoid about stuff like this. I was just wondering if this is normal when coming off of BC where you can get it one month on time, and then not the second, and so on. Thanks so much.

Yes, this is normal. I would not worry about it too much. If you are worried, you could always take a test, but if you are being careful and protected the odds are you aren't pregnant.

Yes I'm protected every single time. I did in fact take a test just to make sure and it did come back as being negative. Do you think it will come any day, or will it come when it is supposed to next month?

It is really hard to tell. It takes some women a few months for their period to regulate and get back to normal again after coming off the pill, while others seem to get back to normal right away. I think the only way you can really tell if its coming sooner rather than later is if you have been paying attention to your cervical mucous (so you can tell approximately when you are ovulating and figure it out from that date).

I was on this birth control for over a year and I came off of it January of 2008. I have only had 2 periods since then...its been about a year and two months.
