I got one on tuesday, my first, and just had a little brown discharge here and there, but friday afternoon i started bleeding like a period, then later on just back to the discharge which keeps going back and forth from little discharge to a lot of discharge. Plus it has a terrible smell, some one please tell me this is normal? my doctors office is closed for holiday.

Do you mean you had a colonoscopy? If this is the procedure you had I would return to the doctor or go see your gynecologist. You need to be sure the scope didn't perforate the tissue and cause a fissure into the vagina.

hi cherrysodapop, I'm not sure why you would have the on and off bleeding (and I am not in the medical field) -- however, I have had two colposcopy's - each resulting in brown and yellow clumpy odd (and smelly) discharge. So, I wouldn't be too alarmed at the discharge - however, if it is still continuing after 2 or 3 days, I would definitely contact my doctor.

Good luck to you and I hope all works out!!

I am sorry about my previous post. Irrelevant information. The doctor may have done a biopsy during the exam which would result in some bleeding. As for the odor you may want to consult with the doctor concerning this. Vinegar is used during the procedure to make any abnormal tissue show up. I am not sure if this would result in an odor post procedure or not.
