Q: colposcopy during menstration

my period is almost here, i'm having light spots, and i'm a day away from my colposcopy can i still do it?

I don't think they will do a colposcopy while you are spotting or bleeding. I know they won't do a pap. I think the blood can make the sample they take to biopsy come up wrong, but not sure. It does make you spot when you have it done though...I had it done and they gave me a pad to wear afterwards and stuff. It doesn't feel real pretty. I would call the dr and ask tomorrow though. gl
