I was diagnosed with Chlamydia late last October. I got the treatment for it (2 pills at the same time-not sure of the name) but on my very stupid part, I had sex with the same guy just 2 days later. I freaked and got another treatment (1g of a powder) and took it a couple days later. I basically had 2 treatments for chlamydia within one week.

I learned my lesson and no more sex with him....ever.

When I found out I had Chlamydia I also found out I need to come back for a colposcopy which I had this past December. Fortunately my results were fine, I just need to go back every 6 months.

I have 2 questions:
1) Could I still have Chlamydia even after the second treatment?
2) Would the colposcopy be able to tell if the chlamydia was still present?

Thanks so much. I'm a worry-wart and this has been racking my brain.

I too have been diagnosed with it and have taken the two antibiotic pills and i too had sex with that same person numerous times since once without a condom (no fluids were transfered) and then all the other times it was with a condom. should i be worried that ive contracted it again? how did you know you got it again? did u get any symptoms the second time or did you know already because fluids were transfered when you did it again?

I actually haven't had any symptoms to make me think I have it again. Guess I'm just paranoid. The first time though I did have syptoms (breakthrough bleeding). But as of right now I don't have anything...except I do pee more often but I'm not sure if that because I eat ice and drink juice alot or what.

Chlamydia symptoms and signs are as follows:
-Frequent need to urinate
-White discharge (the color can be different for different people)
-Painful urination and burning sensation
(All this are major symptoms)
OR It can be no symptoms at all!!!

Taking antibiotics should have clear all the chlamydia off but a retest should be done to really confirm it.

I do not think you still have the infection after 2 rounds of antibiotics. Especially if you didn't have sex with the person after your second dose. You probably had to have a colposcopy done because a pap came back abnormal. They will have you go back every 6 months until you get a normal pap. The abnormal pap could have been caused originally from the infection it tends to cause inflammation which causes the pap to be abnormal.

clamydia question?
i had clamydia for atleast 3 or 4 months and i took the treatment around march and the doctor gave me 2 pills at the same time and told me 2 come back in 2 weeks to get a check up n i ended up not going i feel no itching but ive been leaking more discharge then often n is it possible that i still can have it?
and am i going 2 have ectoptic pregnancy or damaged mi fallopian tubs?
