I was advised to have a repeat pap test due to abnormal pap and my second pap test again, came back abnormal with Possible Low Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion (PLSIL).

I was then referred to a Gynecological clinic (hospital) to do a colposcopic evaluation by my GP 2 weeks ago. I rang the Gynecological clinic today to follow up with my appointment and they told me that it will be a 3 to 4 months waiting period.

Should I be worried about the wait and book in a private gyn (in case the cells progress negatively) or am I suppose to wait as it might be part of the procedure (as from research, cells might get back to normal?).

I am worried. Replies are highly appreciated.
