Colorful speckles-like static

For as long as I could remember, everything I look at seems to have tiny colorful spots that move, kind of static-y. I have glasses, and they don't make the spots any better or worse. I used to think that it was normal, because it's been that way for so long, but I talked to my boyfriend about it and he said it wasn't. I'm just curious if anyone else has this and what causes it. I'm not too worried about it because it's not really bothersome and I don't think it has a serious underlying cause.
