I'm in the healing stages of a hemerroidectomy that went arwry. However, it seemed like a good idea to pass along a positive thought. With the surgery, I had a colonoscopy. A previous one was done 8 yrs agao. Back then, my fears about the proceedure were totall unfounded. The only problem was solved with letting out a ton of farts.

With the recent colonscopy, I was given a perscription for powder junk I mixed with liquid and drank. 8 yrs ago, I wanted the drink cold because I thought it would be more palatable so i put it in refridge for a couple hours. That was a big mistake!.

The stuff starts to congeal like thin jello which made it almost impossible to swallow. I literally had to fight the stuff down. I'm told they changed from the large quantity of liquid to a pill for the clean out, but have gone back to the liquid because it cleans the pipes better.

This time I was given the powder and told to mix with 64 oz of propel or other flavored water drink. I chose crystal light lemon with regular tap water and mixed it 32 oz at a time without chilling or giving it time to get thick. It went right down with no gagging. The only problem I had was after the first 32 oz, there wasn't enough room in my stomach. Very shortly after that, I exploded, giving me plenty of room. The remaining 32 oz went down easilly. Of course, i spent the next three hours off and on the porcelin throne but I'm sure it made the "pipes" easier to see inside.

This colonoscopy was followed by a hemeroidectomy and complications from that were a completely different issue but at least I'll know never to chill that stuff the next time I have to be cleaned out.
