Q: colon polup in between layers

my husband had a colonoscopy 1 polup was found then up in further of colon not inside and not outside colon in the layers of colon skin Doctor says it could be fatty mass or tumor which he says is not cancer but cant be sure until he takes it out and a biopsy is done so if he does surgury takes out a piece of his colon will this be a problem with his eating and should we get a second oppion and have you ever heard of such a thing in the layers of the colon skin not inside or out he said its rare this happens

I'd wait and see what the biopsy shows and then proceed to get a second opinion....
