I started this research about colon cancer about 3 months ago for an english class after my 28 year old cousin was diagnosed with colon cancer. This really surprised me with him being as young as he was but I knew that the major reason why he got colon cancer was because of the diet that he had in his live. I have come up with a solution that I feel is the best when talking about colon cancer. I think that if people watched there fat intake and ate healthier foods that are more high in fiber then they could avoid this harmful cancer. I'm not sure if this could be the best solution so I was curious to what others thought about it. In my english class we talk about 3 different argument points. For the argument of ethos, not only would the people be keeping themselves healthy, but they could also lose some weight and feel better about themselves. For pathos, the people that are eating unhealthy can be told about the amount of pain they will put on there families if they keep eating the way that they are eating and this would cause there families alot of stress. The stress on there familyisn't healthy either, so this could play on there emotions to get them to stop eating badly. For logos I would say that the main reason why I would want to get this information out to the public is so that they will learn that they need to treat there boides right or they will be hurting themselves and in the long run be killing themselves. I'm not sure what people think about my solution so just let me know.

Extremely eHealthy
Eating food rich in fiber and drinking plenty of water to avoid constipation, since this conditions helps colon bacteria to change food preservatives, like nitrates and nitrites into cancerous materials, that is risk for developing colon polyps with potential for cancerous transformation.

Regular check ups for people with family history of colon polyps (they have greater chances for colon cancer).
