Q: Cold sore treatment

i have suffered from cold sores for a long time now since i was little never have i had my lip swell its been swollen for 3 days and i really need this to be gone my Thursday going for family pictures, if the swelling would at lest go down i could cover it with make up right now it looks like i was punched in the face. I dont have any money to go buy anything all i have is what i have her and some blistex i was applying ice until i read that after the blister crusts over ice actually slows healing and my sore is crusted over.. any ideas

sry u don't have any money abreva works great on cold sores. it works better if you start using it at the first signs of a cold sore, like that itchy feeling. you can pick up abreva at your local drug store, walmart, target, etc. they sell it just about everywhere. idk what else to tell you...just don't touch it and let it heal as normal. it usually goes away within 7-10 days on it's own.

don't think there is anything to get rid of it quick that you don't have to buy sorry, just try not to touch it like love_pinkish said and see if you can cover it up with make-up good luck Jenny
