I have cold knees also and get a reddish mottling of my skin on my arms and knees. (comes and goes)My doctor says it is something called livido reticularis - a skin condition. Apparently harmless and caused by the skins reaction to temperature. No consulation for the cold knees though - it actually feels quite painful
