i am 24 yrs old and have been drinking regular cola since i was like 7. i am now so addicted to it. i cant go a single day without drinking cola. its usually RC or Pepsi but i will drink Coke when im desperate. i tried to quit cold turkey once, i went about 5 days straight and on the 6 night i called my husband crying and begged him to bring me a pepsi. i had the worse headache and i was in pain but as soon as i took that first sip, it all went away! i have tried to lower my consumption(i drink up to 2 liters in day) i tried with just a 20oz. daily but that amount just kept getting bigger and bigger i am now drinking about 2--3 cans at work plus maybe another 8-20 oz. at home. i cant seem to stop and i am getting worried. i dont know of anyone else with this type of addiction or even if it is one. i would appreciate any feedback.thanks

yes it seems like a real addiction, and because of the withdrawal symptoms you had when you quit, it would be caffeine. Try caffeine free coke to see if you can drink those instead or if you still crave the real thing. if you still need a "real" coke, then you may have a caffeine addiction.
