If I'm posting in the wrong forum, please let me know. I am frazzled! After years of suffering from the effects of CMV, I have no idea what to do. I test negative for Epstein Barr. Mono Spots have come back negative and CMV values spike. I am HIV -.

Every single time I kiss or have any kind of oral sex, it is only a matter of a few days before I become ill with fatigue, sore throats, sinus drainage, headaches and disruptive digestion such as loss of appetite or indigestion.

I take 3000 mg of Ester C each day. I use EmergenC. I drink carrot juice. I'm using sub lingual B12. I can't find anything that gives me confidence that I won't become ill if I am intimate with someone. This is a huge road block to any human relationship. My current Internal Medicine doctor doesn't seem to give much credence to this fatigue or finding out how to deal with it. A Chronic Fatigue center wants $400 to consult and test and another $400 to review results.

Can anyone help me? Does anyone else have this health scenario?

Are you more concerned about the CMV or the chronic fatigue? I don't know much about either, but they don't seem to be related. I found some good information on CMV that may help http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/cytomeg alovirusinfections.html

As for the chronic fatigue, were you able to see a doctor about it?
