Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with CMV mono about 6 months ago. It started with dizziness, backache, headaches, malaise and chils and low grade fever. After a few weeks I got joint and muscle aches and stiffness which lasted for quite a while. After a month I also developed pins and needles in my left foot and hand as well as a twitch in my left calf. This was intermittend.

After about 4 months I attempted to exercise, but found that my twitching, dizziness and pins and needles got worse after any activity.

These days I still feel incredibly stiff when I wake up in the mornings. This gets better as soon as I get moving. I also have the twitching on and off in my left foot, calf and sometimes eyelid. I also get a weird buzzing feeling in my left foot at times and slight pins and needles in my left hand.

Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

I just saw your post and even though it is from 2009, yes, I now have most of these. How long did it take for your symptoms to subside?
