I have been on birth control now for about a year and a half. i began in January 2008 on Trivora, and switched to Tri-Norinyl in January of 2009. I am currently still on Tri-Norinyl. I am currently on my period now, I just started today, and this one, as well as the last one, are different than usual. Normally on the day I start, my bleeding starts light, maybe a tinge of brown, but by the end of the day I have a steady flow, although it may be light, there is always a flow. I will start on a Monday and be totally spot free by Friday. During my last period (in April) I started on Monday, and ended on Wednesday. I understand that birth control causes shorter lighter periods, however, this caused me some concern. Additionally, there was barely what I would call any true blood; the period started and mostly stayed a brownish color, with very little flow, and this again is causing me concern. So far into this period (May) I have experienced only dark clumps that seem to have some whitish discharge inside of it. There is no flow, and i only see these clumps such as they are is when I go to the restroom. Otherwise, there are some specks on my pad, but nothing truly significant. I am worried because this is so very different than what I am accustomed to. I want to know if this is normal, or if this sounds like something more. Can yeast infections or pregnancy cause this? Something more?

Thank you in advance
