If you have ovulated, but the pregnancy test was negative, you should take another course of progestins (Novo-medrone)and start over with ovulation induction with Clomid at the same dose.
Ovulation most often occurs from 5 to 10 days after a course of Clomid.
If you did not ovulate, you will need instructions from your doctor as to whether to increase the Clomid dose.
The dose should be increased only in those patients who do not ovulate in response to cyclic 50 mg Clomid.
The second course may be started as early as 30 days after the previous one after precautions are taken to exclude the presence of pregnancy.
The majority of patients who are going to ovulate will do so after the first course of therapy.

I took Clomid for 4 cycles. I had 2 cycles of 50mg and 2 cycles of 100mg. I had no luck conceiving in these 4 months. However, I was only seeing my OBGYN. I went to a Reproductive Specialist today and they said that when I was taking the Clomid they should have monitored me to ensure that I was ovulating, but they didn't. I just took the Clomid each month and my husband and I would have sex every day or every other day. The specialist told me that they should have done ultrasounds and tests to be sure I was ovulating and help tell us when the best times to have sex would be. If you take Clomid, make sure the doctor is checking to see if your ovulating, unlike my doctor.
