I recently got started on clomid. My doctor kept me on progesterone to regulate my periods for six months. I took it for ten days and then eventually would start my period. This regulated my period to where she was comfortable prescribing clomid. The thing is that she recently left for maternity leave to have her baby and won't be back for 3 months. She left very confusing instructions in my chart for my new doctor and I am so confused. This month was my first month of taking clomid. I took it exactly as she told me. I took the progestorone for one last time and started my period. ON day 8 through day 12 of my cycle i took clomid. I was supposed to ovulate day 14. Me and my husband had sex as she told us to. On day 25 I went back to get my progesterone levels checked by blood work... Just to find out that my progesterone level was a LOW LOW 2.2. Meaning that I DID NOT ovulate. So the new doctor i was given ASKED me what was next?? That the instructions were confusing in my chart, that my doctor had left for her. MY doctor explained that if i did not ovulate then to change my dosing schedule to take the clomid two days from what i was doing. So in other words what we concluded it meant was that she wanted me to start taking it on day 10-15 of my cycle. BUT that makes no sense. I've done research and i see how women usually take it day 2-7 or day 3-8 of there cycle. AND my doctor who has been working with me for the past year isn't here for me to ask her... SO? what do I do? DO i follow the new doctors unsure instructions? Or do i go by what I THINK? I'm only allowed to take this clomid for 3 months before she takes me off of it and sends me to expensive fertility clinics. Which I cannot afford. SO i want to make sure i get it right the first time?? HELP
