Hello everyone,

I took Clomid and metformin in year 2007 got pregnant on the 4th try of clomid+metformin. Gave birth to a baby girl. she just turned 2yrs in June. So now I got clomid and metformin again. My hubby and I want to have baby #2 but so far no luck. this is my first month on clomid and metformin, got a call from the nurse today about my day 21 progestrone levels. and my test said that I didn't ovulate this time. (cry,cry)...My question is, Does anyone used clomid and metformin for there second pregnancy and actually got pregnant? I heard that it takes longer or sometimes no pregnancy at all. I really hope that we can get pregnant soon. Thank you ladies..please write something to make me feel better. baby dust to all you beautiful ladies that are trying for a blessing!!!

I too was on Clomid at 40, I lost the first pregnancy but the next cycle produced a beautiful baby boy. You probably would't class that as a second pregnancy I suppose, but I just wanted to write to you to not give up! Having said that, I still needed an injection to make me ovulate (with the clomid). I'm lucky I had a great Obstra who monitored me very closely. I saw our boy when he was just an egg! Why are you on metaformin too? I only took clomid. Dr prescribed a drug for diabetics ( I'm not diabetic, not history and no gestational diabetes). I didn't take it ( and didn't tell him, just improved my diet). So don't know if it made a difference? I'm not diabetic either. I guess metforim helps with ovulation. thats what my doctor said to me. I have a friend that have the same problem that we do, and her doctor gave her metformin first and she got pregnant on it on the 4th round. with my first pregnancy i took clomid 3 rounds and no ovulation and then my doctor added metformin and thats how I got pregnant. Im also on a diet and so far I lost 35 pounds. but I do have fait. Thank you again :0)
