i am 31 weeks and have had a small drop of clear discharge like (snot) i don't know if i should phone my doctor

It isn't anything to be concerned about. If you haven't had that discharge up until now, count yourself fortunate. A lot of women have enough discharge to cause them to wear panty liners throughout their pregnancy.

If it is clear, doesn't smell and there is no itching - relax, it isn't anything.

i have had dishgarge for ages but this not like it it stringy i have stitches in so i am a bit worried

Stitches... for what? A cerclage?

First things first, if you are ever concerned about your own health or the health of your child, CALL YOUR DOCTOR. Don't rely on the internet. While there are some questions that can easily be answered, if you are worried (and you are) CALL YOUR DOCTOR.

i have stitches in my cervix to hold the baby in otherwise i will have my baby to early i live in the uk and if you have heard the health service is not to good i just wanted to know if every one gets it or not

That is called a cervical cerclage (the stitches holding your cervix so you don't dilate and deliver prematurely).

Unless there is some kind of bad smell, itching, or burning, it is not out of the ordinary to have stringy discharge in any pregnancy.
