I am 16 weeks pregnant - not even half way through yet, and something wierd happened to me last night.

I went to the washroom last night, and just as i was approaching the toilet, a gush of clear liquid fell out of 'IT' (my privates) ... I hate to be so descriptive, but the amount was that of a shotglass or two.

Obviously, my water didn't break, hehe

But, what could it be?

Is it POSSIBLE that it's discharge?

thank you in advance.

That happened to me early in my pregnancy and it frightened me something terrible. Went to the base hospital to be checked and I was told that it was nothing to worry about and suggested that I wear pantyliners just in case it happened again. I was never given a definate answer as to what it would have been. I was young and took their word as truth.

Mine was clear, no odor...

They did stress that if it happens towards the end of the pregnancy then that is a whole different set of rules.

My episode was over 20 years ago. So there may be a better explanation out there however at this time I do not know.

Have you checked with your OB/GYN?

I haven't yet, I'm going to see him on Friday. I decided to wait until then, incase it reoccurs.

Phew, I'm glad to hear that someone else has experienced it, I've never heard of this before! I'm also glad it is not harmful. I'll ask my OB anyhow.

Thanks, you've eased my mind a whole lot.
