New User
i have recently had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the removal of my right fallopian tube.my smear test came back 3 weeks afterwards that i have a chlamydia infection. i suspect i may have had it for up to 3 years without any symtoms.i know that there is a strong probability my ectopic pregnancy was caused by scarring of my fallopian tube due to clamydia infection. i am worried that my remaining left tube will also be scarred and could anyone tell me if this would be the case, any help/advise much appreciated

It is possible, but only a doctor will be able to tell you for sure. If it is scarred, you could ask about in-vitro fertilization to bypass the fallopian tubes.

Don't forget to make sure that your partner is treated for chlamydia, too. You wouldn't want to get re-infected.

Good luck.
