Hi everyone,
I am 13, is the skin meant to go the whole way back? It doesn't go past the head and apparently this is a problem? There seems to be a tiny strand of skin attached from the inside of the foreskin to the actual penis itself. I don't want to involve a doctor or anything (might use a laser or do some other crazy thing).

Thanks if you can help
Ronan

could be phimosis, you can try to stretch it on your own or with topical steroid cream from the doctor

Your penis has a frenulum, which is similar to the tissue connecting the bottom of your tongue to your lower mouth. The frenulum is supposed to be long enough to allow your foreskin to retract past your glans (head of the penis). If the frenulum is too short, your foreskin may have trouble retracting very far. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frenulum_brev e.

But, as another noted, your foreskin may not be retracting because the opening is too small. Severe cases are called phimosis. This is easily treated by stretching. See http://pages.suddenlink.net/manual_methods /phimosis.html. There is another post here at http://ehealthforum.com/health/phimosis-ti ght-foreskin-treatment-t156168.html that discusses how to treat a tight opening.
