Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders Answer A8871
Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out.

Your symptoms can be due to sinus congestion and chronic sinusitis which is causing swelling of the cheeks and Eustachian tube blockage causing ear blockage.

It is important to find out the cause of chronic sinusitis as then specific treatment can be started. Treatment varies from saline and steroid nasal sprays to decongestants and antibiotics. Resistant cases may need surgery. As for the mucus removal, it is advisable to inhale plenty of steam.

If the symptoms persist then please get it evaluated from an ENT specialist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For an exact diagnosis, you are advised to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
