hello, i am 22 years old and for about 4 years now i have been getting this very strange lower abdominal pain. i dont think its my stomach..its lower more like the intestines. I feel bloated almost 24 hours a day and i could start burping and never stop, they are always just little ones though and they dont give any relief at all. i have had a history of chronic constipation and i thought that was what was causing maybe all the excess gas but after seeing a gastro. he told me of certain foods to eat, more fiber, drink more water etc. and that seems to have helped the constipation so i just dont understand why i am so uncomfortable all the time. i even had a colonoscopy and the results said nothing was wrong. it feels like i am constantly pushing my stomach out as far as it could go even though im not trying to. i have tried eating different foods and seeing the reaction i get but it as always the same no matter what. i could eat nothing all day and still feel bloated and full. ive tried charcocaps, gas-x, and phazyme and nothing has helped. if anyone knows anything about what this could possibly be/ any suggestions on what i can do to help please let me know. thanks so much.

Severe abdominal bloating and generalized abdominal tenderness associated with bloating, especially, prominent in the lower abdomen, is a possible symptom of Irritable bowel syndrome.
Bloating, usually appears after meals, subsides overnight and returns the following day.
Having a bowel movement will or won't ease the discomfort from the abdominal fullness.
Chronic constipation is another symptom of IBS.
Sometimes, lower abdominal pain and bloating can be due to gynecological conditions.

Best wishes!

I have been dealing with the same symptoms for many years. I was diagnosed years ago with Irritable bowel Syndrome. I try very hard to follow a safe diet but it doesn't take much to make my stomach bloat with pain and gas. It's horrible. Some days my stomach is flat and some days it's bloated. The major thing is to stay away from red sauces, spicey foods, and milk products.
