thanks for reply rooted
I dont work at the moment but I am a wife and mum to three kids. Been back to doctor today and am waiting to go for chest lung and c-spine x-rays. She thinks the throat mucus is being caused by sinuses and that the feelings around neck etc is being caused by my c-spine but it could take 3 weeks or more to get x-rays then another4 for results. Will possably be getting an MRI depending on results. REALLY SCARED.

Don't worry --- try to relax and thing of the best. You're in the process of seeking a diagnosis. I know that it might be scary, but trust that the doctors can help take care of you. As a busy mom, I'm sure that you're taking care of others all the time!
