I would like information on ischemic colitis from someone that has been diagnosed with it. My initial attack was in 2009. Had a second attack in Feb 2011 and have had 3-4 (slightly milder) attacks since then. Have been to 2 gastroenterologists and 2 surgeons for opinions. The 2nd surgeon said he "could" do surgery if I wanted, but he really did not think it was necessary at this time (unlike the gastroenterologist who referred me to him). Wish I could find a non-surgical treatment. Thanks for any information.
