I have had chronic headaches or migraines for the past two months. they absolutely never go away unless i take excedrine for migraines. (i can't take ibuprofen because it's not strong enough) and i'm wondering if it's anything serious.

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

In case, you have severe migraine episodes, which are recurrent, disturb your daily work and the headache is accompanied by any of the following symptoms like - confusion, dizziness, fever, numbness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, stiff neck, persistent vomiting ; unexpected ‎symptoms affecting your ears, nose, throat, or eyes ; unremitting diarrhea ; vision loss ; weakness - you should consult your doctor at the earliest.

In such cases you may need better prescription medications to prevent such episodes.

In the mean time, try to avoid common trigger agents that can precipitate migraine attacks. ‎Such trigger agents include - Alcohol, Allergic reactions, Bright lights ‎
Certain odors or perfumes , Changes in sleep patterns , Exercise , Loud noises ‎
Missed meals and Physical or emotional stress. ‎
