Hello! First of all, thank you for reading this!!!
I’ve been suffering from chronic headaches for about a year and a half now…literally, all day every day..and they mostly stem from my neck, but they affect my entire head. They just started one day and I’ve had one since…they vary in intensity and some days are better than others (usually around that time of the month or the week after are the worst) In any case, I’ve had the following tests/procedures done, MRI, CT Scan, Acupuncture, Cortizone shots, numerous medications, chiropractor manipulations, blood tests for lymes, thyroid checked in blood test etc. I also went to a headache clinic (one of the best in the country and they were clueless). No one has been able to tell me what is wrong! I’m only 22 years old and this started when I was 21.
I also saw a Nutritionist and finally got some better answers. She said that my adrenal numbers were off, my blood sugar was at 70 (after fasting for 4 hrs) and she thought I might have thyroid problems (low functioning), hypoglycemia, and hormone imbalance of some kind. I took a hormone rest which came back fine…so that may be ruled out. However, the hypoglycemia and thyroid conditions do run in my family.
I’ve noticed that throughout this whole process I just feel “off.” I often feel shaky, (my hands shake etc) anxious, hot and cold sweats (at times). Lately I’ve noticed that about every two hours if I don’t eat I get shaky and weak. Then when I eat I feel better within about 10 min. Sometimes when the headaches are really bad I eat something and it helps to ease the headache (but the headache NEVER goes away). Lately when I try to exercise, I just can’t because I am so shaky and weak/dizzy. It’s pretty ridiculous. I wish someone could just tell me what’s wrong with me!
Does this sound familiar to anyone? No one should have to live like this!
Thanks again for reading!
