Hi, I'm a 26 year old female. I'm currently overweight (height 5'2'' weight 147pounds). I have flat feet from birth. I had an injury when I was 16, fell onto my right foot and ripped a tendon. I have naturally weak ankles that hurt after extensive exercise and pressure (like jumping). I had tendonitis from jogging in college, have stopped all strenous exercises since then. Now I only do walking and swimming.

I've had cold feet as long as I can remember. My feet and toes will easily turn purple in the cold. I saw a cardiologist 7 years ago, no circulation problems were found.

I have had chronic feet pain for the past 3 years. I don't remember a day during this time where my feet didn't hurt. It hurts at all times of the day, morning, nighttime, standing, resting, doesn't matter.

I went to an orthopedic last year who gave me an anti-inflammatory spray and told me to lose weight. I'm trying to lose weight and have lost some (also dealing with hypothyroid, type 2 diabetes and a lumbar herniated disc). He had also done bloodwork and did not find any rheumatism arthritis. He checked the pulse in my feet which was fine, no circulation problems.

Aside from this chronic pain in both feet, for the past two weeks I have a much worse pain, in my right foot. It's located around the ankle but resonates down into my heel and also up into my leg. It's a lot better when I'm resting, it becomes worse after standing for a long time and walking. Anti-inflammatory spray and analgesic topicals help, so does light massage.

I have not had an injury recently to trigger this. But since it's in the same foot in which I suffered tendon issues before, I'm curious if this could be the cause. I'm also wondering if my chronic pain in both feet are because of flat feet?

My feet seems to hurt more on rainy and humid days. And even though my rheumatism test came back negative, I'm also suspecting arthritis.

I don't want to go to the orhopedic again and be told to use pain relievers and lose weight. I was at a similar weight at earlier times when I didn't suffer feet pain. I feel that there is something much serious going on but the doctors I've seen have not had the time and patience to find out with me.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
