Hello, I am a 25 year old female at the age of 22, after college graduation I became sick with what i though was a cold with severe and debilitating head aches, I couldn't be in the light, hear loud sound it was as though i no longer owned my life. They told me I had chronic Sinusitis though I had never suffered from sinus problems prior. I had surgery in January of 2007. I began to feel sick again and in March or 2008 I had my second sinus surgery. with in the past few years I have been on Leviquin, Avelox, Prednisone, nasal steroids, and allergy shots along with other medications. Now 11 moths after my last surgery and about 5months after my last dose of steroids and antibiotics I find that i am always Tired I find myself taking naps in the middle of the day and not functioning at my normal lelve, even after 8, 10, or 12hours of sleep. Recently i was driving and got extremely dizzy sweaty palms and felt as though i was going to pass out, it turned out it was because my pressure was elevated. Could this Chronic fatigue still be associated with my Sinus' though i have been okay? Other than my sinus' and Asthma( Which is under control) I am and have been healthy. Thank you for taking the time to read this and help me

Sinusitis
Your symptoms are horrible.... I also used to be VERY sensitive to light and take alot of oral antibiotics. I about a year ago was put on a program that works wonders. its called sinus dynamics. Its a medication that you sniff into your nose and cure your infection. You may wanna look into this if your symptoms persist.

Good luck and feel better!!!

Chronic Sinusitis and Fatigue
I think you need not worry so much. First of all, I think you should maintain a proper sleep schedule. Make sure you get enough sleep and try to sleep and get up at the same time (for eg. if you go to sleep at 12 pm and get up at 8 am, try to go to sleep at 12 pm and get up at 8pm everyday, you can choose your own time going to sleep and getting up as per your needs and preferences but be CONSISTENT in sleeping and getting up). I went through FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) last year (July 2008) and maintaning a proper sleep schedule helps me immensely. Chronic sinusitis, although a minor disease, can give you the impression of being seriously ill. Drink plenty of pure water (gift of God and a natural medicine that keeps your nasal mucous membranes hydrated and promotes natural drainage of the sinuses), eat plenty of fruits (especially those containing vitamin C), and get a healthy diet. You should also keep yourself physically active. When you feel too bad, try to spend time by being with your close friends and people who are close to your heart. Remember any disease beats you both phisically and mentally. I hope your CT scan images did not show any abnormalities in the brain and your blood test report had normal findings (normal counting of White Blood Cells and other blood cells and platelets). Since you say say you are healthy I assume you have a healthy weight (neither underweight nor overweight). When you are underweight, it weakens the immune system and you become prone to infections. You may choose to try what I have suggested. Do not expect things to improve in a flash or in one week. Maintain a proper sleep schedule and do what I suggested for one month and see what happens. If you do not find significant improvements, you may choose to visit an ENT specialist (better to visit the surgeon who operated you, he knows your nasal anatomy better). If he is unable to help you can then choose to visit a neurologist or a medicine specialist ( I warn you once again, chronic sinusitis is often unnecessarily confused with something more serious and it may show you unrelated synptoms). For example, when you have a serious headache or dizziness, you feel extremely depressed. However, it does not mean you have depression. I hope I have been able to help you. May God, Whose glory is declared even by the thunder, bless you with everlasting bliss.

Her point was not the amount of hours of sleep, but the consistency in the sleep schedule. Going to bed and waking up at the same times.
