Q: Chronic cough with pain

im 14 and a month ago i was put into the hospital for a chronic cough, they did a ct to rule things out it showed 8 pulmonary nodules in both lungs ranging in size from 8-18mm also inlarged lymph nodes they then ordered a bronchoscopy to culture for fungus a woopign cough test, tb test, a parasite test, and went ahead and put me on anti fungul and antibiotics all those test came back negative the following week they did another ct to see if any of the treatment had worked, it hadnt they discharged me and said they didnt know waht i had but hey refered me to a pulmonoligist specialist who said he would do another ct scna in a month but since being discharged from the hosital i have gotten new symptms(severe chest pain, lower left diaphram pain, my diaphram feels like it is crushing my lungs so it has become hard to breath, i have sever coughing atacks to were i through up, severe headachs, and lower and upper abdominal pain, what do you think it is

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give you a specific diagnosis over the internet. There are many causes of pulmonary nodules. Most such nodules are benign, but some can be malignant as well.

If the nodules have not shrunk or resolved with antibiotic and antifungal threapy, then it may be prudent to have a biopsy of one of these nodules performed, so that an accurate diagnosis can be made.
