My mother is 63 years old. She is having cough for around 45 days. We have consulted a lot of specialists but condition is still same.

She is diabetic and had heart attack in the past. Because of this her heart is working around 30-35% (LEV) so initially doctor suggested that heart failure may be one of the reason. We got her checked thoroughly including (Eco test, Stress Testing, ECG etc) in one of the best hospital of the country and doctor told us that this is not because of heart.

Her blood test shows nothing unusal and Her chest x-ray shows no issue at all. She has been given antibiotic. When she was having those antibiotic, her cough was getting better but after 5-6 days, it again started.

She gets cough in day time and in night time. Night time it is worse. She does not get any phlegm while coughing.Though it sounds like she has phlegm in her chest.

Can anyone help us please? What may be the reasons? What testing needs to be done? Is there any home medicine or homeopathic medicine needs to be tried? Any help will be appreciated.

Cough?
The "whooping cough" aka Pertussis was going around last year. It lasts for up to 3-6 months.
